Hyperbare zuurstoftherapie
is een behandeling, waarbij de patiënt 100% zuurstof krijgt toegediend via
een mond-neus masker bij een druk die hoger is dan de normale omgevingsdruk.
Om die hogere druk te verkrijgen, wordt er een situatie nagebootst alsof
er 15 meter onder water wordt gedoken. Dit gebeurt in een grote ruimte (hyperpressiekamer),
waar de druk kunstmatig verhoogd kan worden

De therapie bestaat uit twee onafscheidelijke delen: de oefentherapie (fysio)
en het zuurstofgedeelte. Doormiddel van de zuurstoftherapie, wordt ervoor
